Applying false lashes can feel tricky at first, but a good technique — and the right glue — makes it much easier. Here's how to get a clean application every time.
Step 1: Prep your lash line
Make sure your natural lashes and lid are free of oil and makeup residue before you start; glue holds best on a clean surface.
Step 2: Size your lashes
Hold the lash strip against your lash line and trim the outer edge if it's longer than your eye.
Step 3: Apply a thin, even layer
Apply a thin line of glue along the lash band and wait about 20–30 seconds until it becomes tacky — this helps it hold rather than slide.
Step 4: Place from the center out
Starting at the center of your lash line, press the strip down, then secure the inner and outer corners last.
Step 5: Set and blend
Gently press along the band with a clean fingertip or tool to blend your natural and false lashes together.
A few extra tips
- Let glue dry fully before opening your eyes wide
- Store glue upright with the cap tightly closed
- Remove gently at the end of the day using a lash-safe remover
